According to Selangor FC head coach, Katsuhito Kinoshi, he was satisfied to get to use almost all the players including players from the under-23 squad.

“Selangor FC won and qualified for the next round. Yes, but for me, the most important thing is that no players were injured in this match. Since I came here, I have managed to use almost all the players including one from the under-23 team. This is an important development for the team. The team has had a lot of matches this month, so with this win, I give them time to rest before starting training sessions again in January. Thank you all for your support this year, I hope the team will get the same or more support next year," Kinoshi said.

The team will be scheduled to face either Penang FC or PT Athletic FC in the 2024/25 MFL Challenge Cup Semi-Finals on 19th January (Away) and 2nd February (Home). In the meantime, the Red Giants players have been given a short break and will return to the Red Giants camp in early January 2024.

The management hopes that the team will continue to give their best to maintain the good momentum in the remaining matches of the 2024/25 season. Keep going, Red Giants!
